Luciano Scramoncin, Francesca Di Giamberardino,
Francesca Gabrielli, Maria Cristina Bellucci, Claudio Franchi

Event promoted and conceived by AGC Contemporary Jewelery Association
and Anzio Civic Archaeological Museum
Already from the title, this exhibition presents itself as a challenge,
both from a cultural point of view, for the archaeological / contemporary antinomy;
both from a territorial point of view, for the impressive
historical memory of the exhibition space and the territory that hosts it.

Roman culture, rooted in an illustrious tradition,
is renewed in the transmission of archetypal signs and images
in continuous evolution; Jewelery is a form of artistic expression that,
in the context of experimental research,
closely relates to the languages of contemporary art

If the history of objects is the history of civilizations,
the purpose of this exhibition is the construction of a
dialogue between ancient art and the current results of the
search for jewelery that highlights the continuum between the
ancient and the contemporary

A selected group of authors re-elaborates and translates the forms transmitted to us through time into matter. They take shape in jewels that are not only presented in the usual garment of ornaments, but aspire to propose themselves as a container of a memory derived from a noble past, revisited, interpreted, translated into new projects
